Tectonic-climatic events and environmental change of tertiary in northeastern margin of Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet) Plateau

摘要
The study region lies on the boundary of the Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet) Plateau and the Loess - Plateau, which is sensitizing range of environmental changes since Tertiary. The system and relatively high-resolution research on sedimentary environment, tectonic movements and evolution of paleonclimate show that there exist 17 deposit sequences with tectonic and climate processing, and 7 stages of paleonclimate in the Tertiary. Correlation of geological events in the region with dry vegetation in the Qaidam Basin, sea level in the mouth of the Zhujiang River and Gulf of Bohai and stages of the oxygen-isotope records in deep sea of Atlantic Ocean demonstrates that there is a close relationship with regional geological events of tectonic-climate and great significance of the global change.
