In the manufacture of quality injection mouldings it is not only important to select suitable machines and tools and the optimum processing parameters; but also mould temperature control. This paper discusses the required mold surface temperature, the types of mold temperature control systems and the calculation of their capacities. The possibility of internal and external temperature control is also discussed. The influences exerted by the mold temperature control system on the processing and the quality of the moldings are reported.
