摘要
The effect of introducing redundant noise-immune coding into data transmission systems operating in real time in conjunction with a digital computer is examined. A graphical-analytical method is used to show that there is an optimum relative redundancy minimizing fideltiy loss in the system for a given permissible delay and given useful traffic level in the system.
