Structural solid state study of ethylene copolymers and terpolymers using high resolution 13C n.m.r

A solid phase CP MAS 13C n.m.r. study was carried out on a series of ethylene co- and terpolymers of ethylene. Based on several selective experiments, it was shown that at levels of 5 and 10% branches were completely rejected into the amorphous and interface parts of the polymer. At concentrations higher than 20%, however parts of the branches are found in the crystalline part, regardless of the thermal history of the polymer.
