摘要
The spontaneous adsorption of oxygen on platinum from an aqueous electrolyte was investigated as a function of time, temperature and pH value. Cathodic charge curves were plotted from galvanostatic measurements. Analysis of the curves indicates dissociative chemisorption of oxygen. Tests with rotating disc electrodes lead to the conclusion that oxygen adsorption in stirred systems is not purely diffusion controlled.
