摘要
The nonlinear high-frequency instability of electromagnetic surface waves is studied in a system consisting of an electron beam near a solid state plasma. Synchronism conditions are established and truncated equations are derived for the amplitudes of the interacting waves. It is shown that effective generation of a high-frequency wave is possible with strong low-frequency pumping. Estimates are made of the feasibility of realizing these effects for an InSb semiconductor plasma.
