OPTICAL AND MICROWAVE INVESTIGATION OF SPIN POLARIZATION OF DONOR AND ACCEPTORS IN GALLIUM PHOSPHIDE IN A MAGNETIC FIELD.

The spectral dependence of the degree of circular polarization P//0 of the luminescence emitted by donor-acceptor pairs in p-type GaP:Zn:S crystals subjected to magnetic fields is studied. The change in the polarization P, due to the action of resonant microwave radiation equalizing the populations of the donor spin sublevels is determined. The values of P//0 and P and the optical ESR signal of electrons bound to donors all depend strongly on the internal distance R in donor-acceptor pairs. Calculations show that the main reason for these dependences was a reduction in the donor lifetime.
