摘要
Various electronically tunable acoustooptic filter configurations which have been demonstrated are described and compared in this review. The photoelastic effect is briefly described. Acoustooptic interaction is discussed via coupled wave equations. The thin-film electronically tunable acoustooptic filter is presented as analogous to the bulk device. Material considerations and practical filter applications are also discussed.
