Unsteady Waves in a Continuously Stratified Rotating Fluid Behind a Moving Pressure Anomaly.

The process of development of three-dimensional internal and inertial waves in a continuously stratified rotating fluid of finite depth is considered. The wave generator in this case is a moving pressure region. A procedure for asymptotic analysis of the wave wake thus arising is outlined. For a fluid with an exponential variation of the mean density possible ship wave patterns corresponding to individual modes are constructed. The effects resulting from the Coriolis force are considered.
