The author answers a review of his paper written by Y.S. Kraichik, B.P. Krasnova, M.I. Mazurov, V.A. Shlaifshtein. The schematic diagram of a static thyristor compensator based on a transformer-type controllable shunting reactor was suggested and analyzed in detail in author's paper. The author underlines that the lowered efficiency of using of the capacitor power is typical for all static thyristor compensators.
