摘要
Two photochromic disulphonated spiro (indolino-naphthoxazines) have been synthesized. Both compounds crystallize in the open merocyanine form. The molar extinction coefficients of the coloured forms have been calculated and the rate constant kb for the thermal bleaching measured. The presence of sulphonic groups lowers the kb, value by two orders of magnitude with respect to that of the unsubstituted compound.
