After four years' work, and at a cost of 1 million, the new fast reactor fuel reprocessing plant at Dounreay, Scotland, will soon start its first campaign using mixed-oxide fuel. The rebuilt plant is the result of the biggest decontamination and decommissioning project carried out to date in Britain.
