摘要
THIS PAPER DEALS WITH THE OPERATING EXPERIENCES DERIVED FROM PRODUCING NEWSPRINT ON THE VALMER SYMFORMER IN A. AHLSTROMCORP'S VARKAUS PAPER INDUSTRY. TYPICAL FOR THE SYMFORMER ISSTABLE RUNNABILITY, FEW BREAKS AND GOOD CROSS PROFILE. IN REGARD TO QUALITY, A TWO-SIDED DRAINAGE CAUSES A VERY LOW TWO-SIDENESS IN OIL ABSORPTION, SURFACE STRENGTH AND SMOOTHNESS. THUS THE PAPER IS WELL SUITED FOR OFFSET AND LETTERPRESS PRINTING.
