70/140 MHz IF CONVERTER FOR BROADBAND RADIO RELAY SYSTEMS.

Radio relay systems with a capacity of 2700 voice channels have been operating of late with an IF of 140 MHz in addition to the conventional IF of 70 MHz. In special cases it may be necessary to interconnect radio relay equipment operating with different IFs. The described IF converter can be used in such cases to establish a simple interconnection at IF. Its concept and technical realization are outlined and typical data given.
