Descriptions are given of two methods of determining the hydrogen fluoride concentration in flue gas samples, namely, a photometric method of fluorine ion determination with the aid of zirconium oxychloride and eriochromocyanine, and a method of determining fluoride concentration with the aid of an electrode with a lanthanum fluoride single-crystal membrane. An estimate is made of the error of the two methods, and the results of measurements on coal- and refuse-fired boilers by the two methods are presented. 6 refs.
