摘要：

The synthesis of AEuI3 (A ≡ Rb, Cs) and AEu2I6 (A ≡ K, Rb, Cs) by a one-step method is reported. The europium valence, which was determined from the magnetic moment and by polarography, is 2+ in every compound. The structures of these compounds were determined by X-ray powder diffraction. The lattice parameters, composition and density of the compounds are presented.
