摘要
An innovative approach to ornithopter (pterodactyl replica) design employs the mechanical equivalent of an oscillating circuit. The design makes it possible to modify wing flapping motions with relative ease by altering the motion controlling software in the autopilot. To reduce the power drain as a result of the rapid cyclic action of acceleration and deceleration, the deceleration energy is stored elastically then released during the next acceleration period. Two servo motors, each delivering about one horsepower, operate in parallel to provide pterodactyl motive power.
