Attention for northern North Sea development and operation has centered on the complex oil gathering system. But there is also an associated gas gathering, processing, and distribution system which currently operates among eight fields. The associated gas gathering system currently contains three gas gathering pipelines: the far north liquids and associated gas system, the western leg gas gathering system, and the northern leg gas pipeline system.
