Everyday industrial operations can no longer be imagined without complete machining, as this technique has created a new philosophy and thus an extended and improved basis of industrial machining. Considering the criteria that are relevant for rendering judgement about complete machining, the most striking among these are reduced production run times and improved opportunities of application. This report explains the appropriate criteria for evaluation. Typical working examples are used to illustrate the potential of complete machining on a milling and turning centre.
