Numerical experiments with the spectral global model of the general circulation of the atmosphere are used to study the effect of positive anomalies of the ocean surface temperature in the northeastern Atlantic Ocean and in the region northeast of Newfoundland in winter on the dynamics of large-scale atmospheric processes. The dependence of the mechanisms which condition on-going reconstruction of circulation on the original state of the atmosphere is investigated. The results obtained are compared with factual data.
