After presenting the problems as well as the tasks and objectives, the state of the art of numerical flow computations for the further development of hydraulic machinery and fans is described. Some characteristic examples for the computation of the two-dimensional, quasi-three-dimensional and fully-three-dimensional fluid flow through components of fluid machinery are being shown.
