摘要
Use of a recently developed weld freezing-cycle simulator results in the finding that, compared to phosphorus, sulfur has a greater detrimental effect on high temperature cracking. A mechanism explains the detrimental effect of S based on the formation of a liquid phase due to the metatectic reaction in the Fe-S binary system.
