摘要
Three laboratory balance manufacturers have introduced new families of products with performance-enhancing features. Denver Instrument's (Arvada, CO) X-Series toploading balance offers a steady and speedy weighing of pharmaceutical products. Mettler-Toledo's (Hightstown, NJ) new AG series of analytical balances permits the weighing of taller vessels, such as volumetric flasks. AG balances have larger weighing chambers, yet require 30% less bench space. Sartorius' (Edgewood, NJ) Master Series offers 25 different models, all of which feature ISOcal, a calibration function that makes automatic adjustments at regularly timed intervals and whenever ambient temperature changes exceed specific limits. These balances also generate appropriate records for compliance with GLP and GMP protocols, and include application programs for statistics, animal weighings, and density determinations.
