Simplified approach to design orthotropic slabs

Simple equations are developed to obtain the strength for orthotropic slabs supported on four and three sides, subjected to uniformly distributed load (udl) for various boundary conditions using yield line method. Equations giving the propagation length of yield lines are explicitly developed and values obtained using this simple approach are compared with the results already reported in the literature.
