At Daimler-Benz, design analysis for automotive manufacturing has reached new dimensions. Computer simulations, such as stress distribution under operating conditions on a coupe body may help shorten lengthy test periods or may be of assistance when decisions are taken. Examples ranging from vibration analysis, engine thermodynamics, driving dynamics, and body development to safety investigations demonstrate the high range of analysis applications.
