Results of an investigation are given which was conducted to study the behavior of typical concrete elements reinforced with fiber-glass main reinforcement such as formed glass reinforcing rods, the flexural cracking characteristics of the elements, their deflection and their load capacities up to failure. Fiber-glass was found to be a practicable and effective reinforcing materials for concrete beams, particularly because of the ability to absorb excessive loads without permanent damage.
