摘要
The present situation of the direct reduction of iron ore to metallized pellets or sponge iron is reviewed in two parts. The first part reviews the current state of the potentially commercial direct reduction processes and discusses the available and possible future sources of energy. Processes covered include the Hyl, Midrex, SL/RN, Lurgi, Krupp sponge iron, HIB, Armco, etc.
