Tips for efficient maintenance of variable frequency drives (VFD) are presented. Dust on an electronic device can cause malfunction or even failure by absorbing moisture. Discharging compressed air into the VFD could be used to combat the problem. Connections should be checked regularly, as bad connections eventually lead to arcing.
