摘要
The scheme consists of design and implementation of 8086 microprocessor based signal simulator and processor. The software and hardware is tested on a test application in the field of biomedical engineering, namely ECG signal Processing. ECG signals have the problem of 50 Hz powerline pick up. A notch filter is designed and implemented using 8086 microprocessor which can filter out the 50 Hz interference in the signal. Software development is on IBM PC in assembly language. A program has been developed that downloads binary codes from the PC to 8086 microprocessor. An IBM PC based ECG simulator has been built which simulates the ECG signal waveform along with the 50 Hz pick up.
