摘要
The sources of the fine total and carbonaceous aerosol mass at Durate were resolved by principal component-stepwise regression analysis of aerosol (elemental and ion) and gas concentration data that were randomly collected throughout 1983. Major contributions to the fine aerosol mass were made by motor vehicles and atmospheric (sulfate and ozone chemistry) conversion processes, and minor contributions were made by soil dust and marine aerosols. Motor vehicles dominated the fine carbonaceous aerosol mass followed by atmospheric processes, soil dust, and fuel oil fly ash. Secondary nitrogen-containing compounds were found to be closely related to automobile emissions.
