摘要：

The ingot molds with small upper part and big lower part are widely used at home and abroad in order to increase the yield of killed steel ingots, but it brings about secondary porosity within the ingots. A new type of ingot mold has been developed to solve this problem. In this mold insulating layers are installed on the middle of mold wall where the metal bridge is formed to produce secondary porosity. As the solidification condition of ingot is improved the secondary porosity can be eliminated.
