A definition, and methods of determining ″deformation resistance″ , k//f, are discussed. Comparison of measurements of k//f and k//f//m (mean deformation resistance) of steels with the results of calculations by methods proposed in the literature leads to an evaluation (acceptance or rejection) of different methods.
