To obtain knowledge needed for the development of alloys used for a heat exchanger which is operated near 1000 degree C in the nuclear steel making process, microstrucure and creep rupture strength of alloys which contain 12-20%Cr, 0-35%W and 0-25%Mo at 1000 degree C, have been investigated. Creep strength increases with increasing W content. Substitution of W by Mo decreases creep strength. Metallic phase alpha -W increases creep and creep rupture strength.
