摘要
The surface-wave principle appears suitable to expand the range of application of piezoelectric vibrators to higher frequencies. For a surface wave the particle displacements rapidly decrease with growing distance from the surface. The waves are excited by interdigital transducers on a piezoelectric substrate which may consist of one of the following materials-- piezoelectric ceramics, quartz, cadmium sulphide or telluride and (especially for microwave frequencies) lithium columbate. Data on filters and ultrasonic delay lines designed on the surface-wave principle are given.
