Propagation modelling for land mobile satellite systems

摘要
In this paper a review is made of the main phenomena found in land mobile satellite (LMS) propagation. The different existing modelling approaches, empirical, statistical, deterministic are also reviewed. Special emphasis is placed on statistical channel modelling. Finally, the requirements set by the new system scenarios: non-Geostationary orbits, multi-satellite systems, etc. are analysed.
