At this time, processes (physical, mechanical, chemical, etc. ) occurring at an earthquake focus are unknown. However, in practice it is not so important to know what these processes are as it is important to know their result, the energy liberation that is one of the main characteristics of earthquakes. In this paper, it is assumed that the cumulative elastic energy being released as a result of the fracture is emitted in the form of seismic waves whose source is indeed the fracture domain. By recording these waves, it is possible, in principle, to indicate the location of the focus, and to estimate its size.
