摘要
This paper describes the design philosophy for several subscriber loop transmission systems needed to support the I series interface recommended by CCITT. A TCM (time compression multiplexing) system which supports the CCITT-recommended basic interface is adopted as the metallic subscriber transmission system. A compact low power loss interface is realized using LSIs. A multiplexed fiber-optic digital subscriber transmission system is adopted The system consists of three types of equipment which provide customers with basic and primary-rate interface services recommended by CCITT. A subscriber radio transmission system supports the basic and primary-rate interface. The equipment is compatible with the former system.
