Mechanism analysis of fracture toughness for fiber reinforced composites

摘要
The fracture toughness of composite materials is dissimilar to the fracture toughness of homogeneous isotropic materials. The fracture toughness of fiber reinforced composites is not consistent with the mixture law of general and physical properties. Based on the study of composing process this paper analyzed the effects of matrix properties, interface, fiber properties and pattern direction on fracture toughness in order to further explain the fracture mechanism.
