Results of sound propagation and measurements of large transformers are presented. The decreases in noise is computed for transformers with a continuous spectrum. The sound measurements show that the computations are valid, if the fan noise exceeds the magnetic noise. Effects of different methods of noise measurements of large transformer are considered.
