Problems of heterogeneous 10**1**1 of aluminum alloys are considered. It is shown that the nuclei of dendritic grains are solid particles of insoluble impurities activated by modifying crystalline particles of intermetallic compounds. The number of crystals in the investigated ingots amounts to 10**1**1 per cubic centimeter.
