摘要
The fast variations of reactive power consumed by electric arc furnaces pose problems to the power bus. Under unfavorable conditions this may cause unacceptable voltage fluctuations in the bus. Such disturbances are reduced by compensator equipment. Different concepts are discussed. The efficacy of the installation is investigated via digital simulation. Input data are taken from live measurements stored in magnetic tape recorders. Network disturbances are reduced to 30-60% of their original value, depending on arc furnaces operation and compensator equipment used.
