摘要：
The paper discusses problems of design technique in research on passive systems. Historical reasons are provided for the failure of designers to cope with the energy behavior of buildings. Then, on the basis of a systems concept of architecture, some operational rules are proposed for the development of appropriate design techniques. A morphological chart is propsed that widens the are of search for solutions to a passive solar design problem.
