The aim of this work was an investigation of the influence of the size of the emulsion grains of silver bromide, and their degree of polydisperseness, on the efficiency of image intensification by the method of catalytic dye formation. It is shown that the conditions of forming the light-sensitive layer have an influence on the degree intensification, which increases with the mean emulsion grain size. The effectiveness of the processes of intensifying the silver image by the method of catalytic dye formation is greater in emulsions produced by the two-stream method.
