The Journal's annual comprehensive computer-control report shows 1,613 petroleum-chemical projects worldwide. A net of 247 projects has been announced in the last year, making 1973 the second-most-active year in the 15-year history of this exclusive survey. Review of year's activities shows several noteworthy technological advances.
