An experimental determintion of effective coefficients of overflows and an investigation of mixed convection in the inter-tube space of single-bundle and triple-bundle models of the BN-350 intermediate heat exchangers was carried out. The triple-bundle model consisted of a narrow box-type housing with three vertical U-shaped tube bundles 1 m high. Sodium was used in both loops as the heat carrier.
