摘要
It is shown that the methods so far used for reliability calculation must be extended. In a clear form, without laying any claim to completeness, the present position is presented and the problems still to be solved are indicated. The final aim is the monetary evaluation of the supply interruptions to be expected. Even if adequately accurate data, calculation - and evaluation methods were available it must not be forgotten that the calculated costs of breakdowns are only indicative values with wide ranges of scatter, in contradistinction to the investment costs forecast.
