The expressway bridge over the 10-track railway underpass comprises 20m and 22. 8m long spans conveying two 7-m wide fast lanes and two 6-m wide slow lanes. The steel decks are welded throughout, with orthotropic floor plates protected by asphalt pavement. The limitations due to the structure's location and the very limited time available involved large-scale handling operations and required the construction of a 100-ton traveling gantry crane on retractable runways which is described in detail.
