PLANNING SOLAR NEIGHBORHOODS.

Planning solar neighborhoods involves more than insuring sunlight to solar collectors. Its broadest goal is to create exciting, livable environments within an integrated energy-conservation framework. An extended concept of the solar collector is presented as a basic planning tool. Four principal steps in comprehensive solar planning are given with an emphasis on the final, detailed design phase with an actual project used as an example.
