SEVERAL SERIES OF BILLETS WERE CAST USING PRESSURIZED CRYSTALLIZATION IN ORDER TO GET REPRODUCIBLE AND QUANTITATIVE DATA ON THE EFFECTS OF PRESSURE, POURING TEMPERATURE, AND MOLD TEMPERATURE ON MECHANICAL PROPERTIES. THE CONTROLLED VARIABLES WERE MOLD TEMPERATURE, MELT TEMPERATURE, AND PRESSURE WHICH HAD THE FOLLOWING RANGES: 400-800 D. F, 1,350-1,550 D. F,AND 3. 2-17 KSI.
