Two-layer medium consisting of a water layer of a particular height put onto a liquid uniform semispace is considered. When estimating the layer effective height obtained by approximation the characteristic equation approximation accuracy should be accounted. The accurate value of the effective height is not a constant one but changes dependant on the mode number . The formula allowing to achieve effective height-mode number dependence is derived.
